Check 1st:
- Make sure that the appropriate stretch wrap roll has been installed on the wrapper.
-
- 20” wide
- 5,000’ per roll
- 9” in OD
- Approximately 36lbs
Check 2nd:
- Make sure the wrapper is plugged into a dedicated line with the appropriate voltage and the correct size breaker.
- Make sure the breaker has not tripped and is in good working condition.
- Excessive jogging (on, off, on, off) of the wrapper can cause the motor to overheat and trip the safety relay inside the wrapper's control panel.
- To reset the motor, wait until it has cooled to the touch. Then open the control panel on the wrapper and press the blue “reset” button on the safety relay. You can also try turning the sensitivity dial up on this device to a value of 10. Once done, please reattach the control panel lids, and you can begin operation again.
- Make sure the push button, contractor, and wires in the corded pendant control are in good working condition, secure, and functioning properly.
- If using the wireless remote, make sure it is fully charged, properly synced to the machine, and in good working condition.
Check 3rd:
- Make sure the tension of the drive belt has approximately 1” deflection.
- To access the drive belt, remove the motor shield by removing the (4) bolts that hold it in place.
- If the belt tension is too tight or too loose, simply adjust the idler pulley up or down on its track to tighten or loosen the best tension.
- Make sure the key is not missing from the keyway on the motor shaft where the motor pulley slides.
- Motor break tension may need to be adjusted. Call TAB Industries LLC for steps to do this.
Check 4th:
- Make sure that the top guide wheels are not binding. They should just be slightly kissing the ring.
- If the guide wheels are binding, loosen the (2) set bolts on the frame that hold them in place and slightly back them off the face of the ring.
- Once done, retighten the (2) set bolts on the frame, thus locking the guide wheels back in place.
Check 5th:
- Lubricate all grease fittings.
